FAQs

How can I purchase an original piece of artwork?

I generally release 3 - 4 collections per year. I make sure to keep you updated on upcoming releases via social media and my mailing list. Sold out? Please get in touch and we can see if a commissioned painting is right for you.

How can I commission a painting?

I have a limited number of spots for commissions each month, but I love to work with my collectors to help bring their vision to life! If you are interested in commissioning a piece, please reach out via my contact form or email me at hello@karenbramhill.com.

Do you offer prints of your work?

I generally offer a select number of fine art Giclee prints from each collection release, in a range of sizes. These will be listed in the shop’s Prints page.

All Giclee reproductions are printed to order by a local print house and are printed on fine art paper using pigmented archival inks (paper thickness: 19mil, paper weight:  340 gsm, opacity: 98%).

Do you offer framing of your work?

For some of my collections I offer the work specially pre-framed. However, I do not offer this as a service from my studio, although I am always happy to offer framing recommendations and advice. I do encourage you to take your artwork to a professional framer where they offer customization and archival material to ensure the longevity of the work.

What are your shipping policies?

Currently I only ship within Canada and to the USA. Shipping options are available at checkout. Orders are shipped within a week and generally arrive within 1-2 weeks of shipping depending on your location and shipping option.

• All original artwork is beautifully wrapped and secured to ensure the integrity of the painting remains intact during and after shipping.

• All prints are handled with the utmost care, packaged beautifully in paper or plastic sleeve. Prints 11x14 and smaller are mailed in a sturdy flat mailer while prints 16x20 and larger are mailed in a thick tube.

• Artwork will ship via Canada Post and include tracking & insurance.

For oversized pieces and larger orders, there may be an additional shipping charge that will be invoiced before the order is shipped. If you have any questions about the cost of shipping before purchasing, please contact me. Please note that all import duties are the responsibility of the buyer.

Can I pick up my artwork from your studio?

Free local pick up within Ottawa is available at checkout by selecting “LOCAL PICK UP” at checkout. Email me at hello@karenbramhill.com to arrange a time for pick up at my studio.

What is your return/exchange policy?

Every order, commission, and sale is handled with care and as much clarity and transparency as possible. I want you to love your new piece of art! Because of this, all sales are final except in certain situations. Please email hello@karenbramhill.com. Please take the time to read descriptions carefully and check colours on multiple screens if you are concerned about colour variations. I try my best to represent the colours and tones in my work honestly and clearly.

Where can I see your most recent work?

Instagram or my monthly Newsletter is the best place to see what I am currently working on.

Who actually owns the RIGHTS TO THE Artwork?

I retain all rights to all artwork I create. This includes the rights to the image of sold & commissioned original paintings. I retain the right to make reproductions of any and all artwork I create unless otherwise agreed upon with the collector. The collector may not reproduce the artwork in any way without written permission.
