This painting is part of ‘The Freedom in Motion’ collection, a series of acrylic paintings that epitomize carefree moments through movement and summertime vibes.

The idea for this collection came to me in a dream. I saw texture, bright colours, and figures in motion. I wanted to capture the magic of ordinary moments through the lens of a child, and the sense of joy and freedom by which they approach their days. Children have the unique ability to appreciate and live in the present moment –free to fully experience all the gifts and excitement the day brings. Through the use of artist’s modelling paste, texture is created in the painting to further represent the notion of ‘freedom’ and the depth and complexity of this concept. Juxtaposed against the bright flat wash background meant to further represent ‘joy’, each unique painting makes an impactful statement.

The acrylic painting has been varnished to protect the work, and signed on the front by the artist. It has been carefully framed in a handmade wooden floater frame, selected by the artist. When framed, the painting measures “11”x13”. This painting comes with a certificate of authenticity.
